Acer griseum – Paperbark Maple
Characteristics – this small deciduous, upright oval to rounded tree is noted for its peeling cinnamon to reddish brown bark. This is a nice winter interest, foliage is dark green but then turns red in fall. Tree is a slow grower 6”-12” per year, grows average of 20’-30’ tall.
Light – full sun to part shade
Moisture – well drained soils, normal watering
 
Acer palmatum atropurpureum ‘Bloodgood’ – Bloodgood Japanese Red Maple
Characteristics – small deciduous upright tree with deep reddish purple foliage all summer long. Foliage is opposite and deeply lobed, will grow upright to 30’ over a long time.
Light – full sun to part shade
Moisture – medium moist soil, normal watering
 
Acer palmatum dissectum atropurpurea– Cutleaf Japanese Red Maple
Characteristics – an extremely fine textured deciduous tree with a broad rounded cascading shape. Foliage is a brilliant red that changes to oranges and yellows in the fall. Grows 6’-8’ tall.
Light – full sun to part shade
Moisture – well drained moist soil, normal watering – NOT drought tolerant
 
Betula nigra – River Birch
Characteristics – a fast growing upright, medium sized deciduous tree which can have a single trunk or a multi trunk. Salmon-pink to reddish brown bark peels to reveal lighter new bark. Diamond shaped medium to dark green foliage turns yellow in fall.
Light – full sun to part shade
Moisture – medium to wet soils, very adaptable
 
Betula pendula ‘Youngi’ – Youngs Weeping Birch
Characteristics – low, domed shape deciduous tree has a peeling white trunk for good winter interest. Weeping branches with diamond shaped bright green leaves, turn yellow in fall.
Light – full sun to part sun
Moisture – well drained soils
 
Cedrus atlantica ‘Glauca’ – Blue Atlas Cedar
Characteristics – an evergreen conifer, growing habit is usually loose pyramidal when young, becoming more flat topped with long spreading branches. Needles are silvery blue to blue in color. Fast growing when young then slows down, grows to 40’-60’ over time.

Cedrus atlantica ‘Glauca Pendula’ – Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar
Characteristics –an evergreen conifer, drooping twisted branches filled with powdery blue needles. Slow growing matures at 10’ tall. Can be staked to create shape.

Cedrus deodara ‘Aurea’ – Golden Deodar Cedar
Characteristics – large pyramidal evergreen with long graceful arching branches. Foliage is golden yellow which highlights the tops and ends of the branches. Slow growing 15’-20’ mature height.

Chamaecyparis obtuse ‘Crippsi’ – Golden Hinoki Cypress
Characteristics – broad upright pyramidal evergreen, spreading loose and open branches. Foliage is bright golden yellow feathery sprays. Grows 12” per year, matures at 8’-10’ tall.

Cornus Kousa – Japanese Dogwood
Characteristics – small deciduous flowering tree, blooms in late spring grows 15’-30’ tall with rounded habit. Flowers are four white petal like bracts that surround a yellowish green center ball. Foliage is dark green turns reddish purple in fall.

Characteristics –this deciduous rounded multi stemmed upright tree, features twisted and spiraling branches, twigs and leaves. Foliage is round and light green, typically grows 8’-10’ tall.

Fagus sylvatica ‘Purpurea Pendula’ – Weeping Copper Beech
Characteristics – an irregular, spreading tree, with long weeping branches that reach the ground. Leaves are elliptic, wavy edged and purple. This tree's bark is smooth and silvery.

Hydrangea paniculata ‘Grandiflora’ – Peegee Hydrangea
Characteristics – a fast growing upright deciduous tree. Flowers are showy, closely packed creamy white florets that fade to pink and eventually brown, that persists into fall. Large florets make branches arch downward, grows 10’-25’ tall.

Characteristics – a small upright growing deciduous tree with less of a spread then the plum tree. Foliage is an intense reddish purple and keeps its color all season long. Produces single fragrant whitish pink flowers appearing after the leaves have developed in late spring. Grows 7’-10’ tall.

Characteristics – an upright umbrella like fast growing deciduous tree, with graceful weeping branches that hang toward the ground. The small pale pink flowers are profuse and appear in early spring.

Prunus subhirtella ‘Snofozam’ – Weeping Snow Fountain Cherry
Characteristics – a slow growing compact cascading deciduous tree has graceful branches that bend towards the ground. In the spring this tree is covered in a floral blanket of pure white ornamental flowers. Dark green foliage turns orange in fall, grows 12’-15’ tall.

Pyrus calleryana - Pear
